filthy funky

Many times I'll buy an album based on the cover or the year.  These were my motivations for buying "Filthy!" by Papa John Creach out of the dollar pile.  I had no idea what I would hear when I played this album. . . but it was only a dollar.  Usually, I don't dig solely instrumental music but this was good!  He has some soul singers in the background, which adds to the funkiness.  Papa John Creach was a well known fiddle player from the late 60's to the early 90's.  He played with bands like Hot Tuna and Jefferson Airplane.  In my opinion, this is the best of his own albums.
